Castaway Cay

Hello Gorgeous!
Happy Friday! I have had a tough week since being back as I have a pretty bad cold, but looking back through vacay pictures has made it a bit better. Last week on our Disney Fantasy Cruise we had the pleasure of stopping at Disney's private island in the Bahamas called Castaway Cay. I will be honest, I didn't know what to expect except for a beach and a bathroom, well as Disney always does, my expectations were exceeded ten times over.
We docked at Castaway Cay around 9:30 in the morning and we could see the crew working feverishly from our verandah. When we got off the ship we followed a path that opened up to one of the most incredible beaches I have ever seen. There are lots and lots of beach chairs on Castaway Cay so there isn't a need to rush off of the ship.
Charlie headed immediately into the secured kids club area, and played there for about two full hours (the longest he stayed in the kids club all week). There is a splash pad, a huge sand area, and the counsellors were playing games with all the children. When he wanted to leave we got a text asking us to come and get him, and boy did he have fun! His head was covered in sand, and he was starving hungry.
There is a lunch buffet on the island which was absolutely delicious. Everything from hamburgers ribs, hotdogs, salads and ice cream is served on Castaway Cay. I think this was my favourite cruise day.
All in all, Castaway Cay is a little piece of paradise. You can see by the pictures below how gorgeous the setting is, and how much work Disney has done to make the island their own.
