Why Did I Start Blogging?

Hello Gorgeous!
Let's get right to it, why did I start blogging? This is the most common question I get asked, and the answer is quite simplistic is nature. First off, I was always a fashion lover. I clearly remember being obsessed with Club Monaco in my high school years, and my mom would take me to Jackson Square (which was 'the' mall in Hamilton at that time), and she would always buy me a few great items. A burgundy argyle sweater is etched in my memory of one of the first clothing items I fell in love with.

I was very fortunate as a teenager that my parents were extremely generous and rarely said no when I wanted to wear what my mom would refer to as,  "dressier clothes". When I started teaching, I always looked forward to dressing up in my frilliest, pouf-iest, dresses and skirts. To this day, I still love to be a bit over-dressed when I go to work.
So why did I start blogging? After using Instagram for a year, I started to notice fashion blogger accounts. I ended up coming across a fashion blogger who lived a few cities away from me, and I immediately thought that I could definitely create a blog. This particular blogger was much more established than I was, and she had incredibly polished photos, but I still decided to take the plunge and begin a blog journey.
Teach in Fashion started out as a passion project to share my love of fashion and beauty. Although if you were to ask me now, I would tell you I wished I had picked a different blog name, even if I still haven't fully decided on what that name would be. My early pictures are definitely ones I wish I never took, but everyone has to start somewhere.
I have learned so much through blogging that I never thought I would, such as photo editing, and how to take a decent photo. My next steps in blogging, are to expand my topic range so things get a bit more personal, and I really want to try to include my mom life with you all.
Being a blogger and having a full time job does get exhausting, and I'll be sharing some ways I deal with my own creative 'rut' in the future. For now let me know what you would like to know more about, and what topics interest you.
This great fall dress is another fave from Karina and the shoes and bag are from Nine West.
