Come On Get Happy + My Instagram Thoughts

Hello Gorgeous!
Oh you know just another week trying to fit everything in. I have to be honest it's been a hard few creative months for me. I have read many bloggers post about the loss of engagement on Instagram and well, I am feeling it too. It's quite defeating to know that my posts are being seen by less than half of my audience due to the new algorithm. If you haven't heard the new algorithm basically decides what you see, rather than having posts in chronological order. This means that many bloggers are finding it harder to reach their audience resulting in lower engagement all around.
Growing an authentic following has become much more challenging and many bloggers are resorting to buying followers or likes in order to stay on top of the blogging game. At one point I admit I was using an Instagram service to help me manage my Instagram. I wasn't using it so much for the growth, but more for the management side. I wish I had time to like photos and find and follow amazing accounts but working full time, and being a mom makes it very hard. Nevertheless, after a couple of months, I did find my following was growing but the lack of control over who I was following, and which photos I was liking really bothered me. I have LONG SINCE cancelled the service I was using and yes my engagement has gone down immensely, but I can rest easy knowing that I am back in control.  So love it or hate it, I did what I felt was right for me. If you're angry at me for using an Instagram service then all I can say is, that I tried it and really didn't like it.
All I can do is be me and finding the momentum to keep blogging comes from a place of passion for me. At the end of the day, as much as I want more of you to see and hopefully appreciate my content, I keep reminding myself why I started my blog in the first place. I started this blog as a positive space to share my love of fashion, beauty and lifestyle ideas. I never thought in a million years it would grow as much as it has. I am so thankful to be in a position to work with incredible brands. Running this blog has taught me more about social media and business than I could have ever imagined.  If my own personal brand grows on social media or it doesn't, it will all be ok. So I'll leave you with a last question, does growth in your following really matter? Also if any of you are personally interested in social media let me know, I am happy to share an tips or tricks that have worked for me.
